OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Howard Brown Health, reported that its business associate (BA) experienced a cyberattack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 8,357 individuals. The PHI included demographic information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect PHI.
