OCR description
Artemis Healthcare, the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 45,867 individuals. The PHI included clinical, demographic and financial information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, the media and posted substitute notice on its website. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional technical, administrative and security safeguards, including hiring a third-party managed service provider to manage all IT. .
