OCR description
The business associate (BA), Excel Healthcare Receivable Management & Consulting Corp., reported that it had experienced a malware attack that resulted in encryption of certain data. No protected health information (PHI) was reported to have been accessed or copied due to the breach. In response to the breach, the BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards, and retrained workforce members to better protect PHI.
