OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Baltimore City Health Department, reported that a subcontractor of its business associate (BA) experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) 2,597 individuals. The PHI involved included financial information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE and BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect PHI.
