OCR description
The covered entity (CE), LifeLong Medical Care, reported that a subcontractor of its business associate (BA) experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) 70,000 individuals. The PHI involved included demographic information. The CE notified HHS and the affected individuals. In response to the breach, the CE and BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect PHI.
