OCR description
The covered entity (CE), La Pine Community Health Center, reported that a subcontractor of its business associate (BA) experienced a cyberattack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 1,190 individuals. names, dates of birth, and claims information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. OCR provided technical assistance regarding the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule.
