OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Oscar Health, Inc., reported that an employee mailed the protected health information (PHI) of 91,350 individuals to the wrong recipients. The PHI involved clinical and demographic information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE enacted mailing system corrections. OCR provided technical assistance to the CE regarding the HIPAA Rules.
