International Rehabilitative Sciences, dba RS Medical, the covered entity (CE), reported that an employee was the victim of an email phishing scheme affecting the protected health information (PHI) of 1,911 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and diagnoses. The CE established a call center to answer questions or concerns. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards to better protect its PHI.
