OCR description
Solo Laboratories, the covered entity (CE), reported that it was the victim of a ransomware attack that affected the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of approximately 60,000 individuals. The only ePHI involved was customer names. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional physical and technical safeguards and retrained its staff. The CE also assigned a Security Officer to assist in the ongoing development of policies and procedures.
