OCR description
The covered entity (CE), CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial, reported that multiple employees were the victims of an email phishing scheme that compromised the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 1,045 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, diagnoses, and other identifiers. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional technical safeguards and retrained its workforce members on email security.
