OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Premier Kids Care, Inc., reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that affected the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 6,265 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, claims and health insurance information, diagnoses, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards and retrained its staff.
