OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Bruce L. Boros, M.D., P.A., dba Advanced Urgent Care, reported that it was the victim of a ransomware attacked that affected the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 58,823 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, clinical and treatment information, and Social Security numbers. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards and retrained its workforce.
