OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, reported that its business associate experienced a ransomware attack affecting the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of approximately 36,739 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, mailing and e-mail addresses, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and provided substitute notice.
