OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Summit Behavioral Healthcare, reported that an employee impermissibly emailed the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 70,822 individuals to his personal email account. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its PHI.
