OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Jackson County Health Department, reported that an employee failed to use the blind copy function when sending an email and subsequently exposed the email addresses of 800 individuals. The ePHI involved included email addresses and vaccination information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE sanctioned and retrained the employee.
