Allergy Partners, PLLC

The covered entity (CE), Allergy Partners, PLLC, reported that it was the victim of a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 74,083 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, health insurance information, patient account numbers, Social Security numbers, drivers’ license numbers, and diagnoses, prescription information, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards and retrained its employees on cybersecurity best practices.
