OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Williamson Health and Wellness Center, Inc., reported that its business associate suffered a ransomware attack that compromised the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 1,688 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, and prescription information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its ePHI.
