OCR description
The business associate (BA), Illinois Attorney General’s Office, reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 501 individuals. The BA notified HHS and the affected individuals. In its mitigation efforts, the BA strengthened its administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
