OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Mobile County Commission, reported that it was the victim of a ransomware attack that affected the electronic protected health information (ePHI) of 1,337 individuals. The ePHI involved included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and financial and health insurance information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE strengthened its administrative and technical safeguards.
