OCR description
Ravkoo reported that its prescription portal was the target of a cybersecurity attack potentially exposing the protected health information (PHI) of 105,000 individuals. The PHI involved included names, telephone numbers, and prescription medication information. At the time of the incident, Ravkoo met the definition of a covered entity under HIPAA; however, during OCR’s investigation, Ravkoo permanently closed all of its locations, and ceased operations. Therefore the investigation was terminated and the case closed.
