Advent Health Partners, Inc.

The business associate (BA), Advent Health Partners, Inc., reported that several employees were the targets of an email phishing attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 37,183 individuals. The PHI involved included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and treatment information. The BA provided breach notification to the affected individuals, the media, the HHS Secretary, and affected covered entities. In response to the breach, the BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards, and retrained workforce members to better protect PHI.
