OCR description
The covered entity (CA), La Posada at Park Centre, reported that it experienced a cyber-attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 812 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, drivers’ license numbers, and financial information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented new technical and administrative safeguards to better protect its sensitive data.
