OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Labette Health, reported that it experienced a cyber-attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 85,635 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, diagnoses/conditions, lab results, and medication names. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional technical security measures. OCR provided technical assistance.
