OCR description
DialAmerica Marketing, the business associate (BA), reported that it experienced a ransomware incident that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 19,769 individuals. The PHI involved included names, birthdates, addresses, Social Security numbers, and diagnoses. The BA notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the BA implemented additional administrative, technical and security safeguards to better protect PHI.
