OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital dba Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, reported that a laptop computer containing the protected health information (PHI) of 1,201 individuals was lost. The CE notified HHS and the affected individuals. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional technical safeguards to better protect sensitive data, retrained its staff, and updated policies and procedures.
