OCR description
BHG Holdings dba Behavioral Health Group, the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 197,507 individuals. The PHI involved included names, drivers’ license and Social Security numbers, financial information, diagnoses, lab results, and medications. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards to better protect its sensitive data.
