OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Molina Healthcare, reported that its business associate (BA) experienced a cyber-attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 1,068 individuals. The PHI involved included names, other identifiers, claims information, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individual and the media. In response to the breach, the CE provided complimentary credit monitoring services to affected individuals and implemented additional technical safeguards.
