OCR description
Eastside Pediatrics, PLLC, the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a ransomware event that affected some of its computer systems. The protected health information (PHI) of 1,721 individuals was affected. The PHI involved clinical, demographic, and financial information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, Eastside implemented new administrative, physical and technical safeguards and adopted new policies and procedures.
