OCR description
CommonSpirit Health, the business associate (BA), reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 633,031 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, diagnoses, conditions, and other treatment information. The BA notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the BA implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
