OCR description
CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories, the covered entity (CE), reported that an employee was subject to an email phishing scheme that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 1,969 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, diagnoses, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE strengthened its administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its sensitive data.
