OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Dallas County, reported that it sold computers at an auction that contained the protected health information (PHI) of 501 individuals. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In response to the breach, the CE provided complimentary credit monitoring services and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its PHI.
