OCR description
Cadence Bank, the covered entity (CE), reported that its business associate (BA) experienced a cyber-attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 13,862 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, drivers’ license numbers, health insurance information, claims and financial information, and other treatment information. In its mitigation efforts, the BA implemented additional technical safeguards and provided complimentary credit monitoring services.
