OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Mannings 8th Ave Inc., reported that it was the subject of a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 5,796 individuals. The PHI involved included medications and treatment information. The CE notified HHS and the affected individuals. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards, and retrained workforce members to better protect its PHI.
