OCR description
The covered entity (CE), BBRx Pharmacy, reported that it was the subject of a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 8,786 individuals. The PHI involved included treatment information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards, and retrained workforce members to better protect its PHI.
