OCR description
The covered entity (CE), F&E Aviation Holdings, Inc., reported that it experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 3,097 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, drivers’ license numbers, birthdates, claims and financial information, diagnoses, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media of the breach. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards.
