OCR description
The business associate (BA), ESO Solutions reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 2,700,000 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, diagnoses and conditions, medications, and other treatment information. The CE took several corrective actions including additional administrative and technical safeguards in its mitigation efforts.
