OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Dignity Health Nevada St. Rose Dominican Hospital, reported that its business associate experienced a cybersecurity attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of approximately 2,652 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, drivers’ license numbers, and diagnoses. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, the media, and provided substitute notice. OCR has initiated a compliance review of the business associate regarding this breach.
