OCR description
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a cybersecurity incident that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 755 individuals. The PHI involved included names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, and health insurance and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In its mitigation efforts, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its sensitive data and retrained staff.
