OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic dba West Idaho Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, reported that it experienced a ransomware attack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 6,146 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, claims information, diagnoses, medications, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards.
