MD Now Medical Centers, Inc.

The covered entity (CE), MD Now Medical Centers, reported that it experienced a ransomware incident that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 150,560 individuals. The PHI involved included names, addresses, dates of birth, drivers’ license numbers, Social Security numbers, diagnoses/conditions, lab results, medications, claims and financial information, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE offered free credit monitoring and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
