OCR description
Monte Nido the covered entity (CE), reported that it experienced a ransomware incident that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 41,662 individuals. The PHI involved included names, date of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, claims and financial information, diagnoses/conditions, lab results, medications, and other treatment information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards.
