OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Positive Behavior Supports Corporation, reported that it was the subject of a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 2,247 individuals. The PHI involved included demographic information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on their website. In response to the breach, the CE provided complimentary credit monitoring services to the affected individuals and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its PHI.
