OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Brunswick Hospital Center, reported that it experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 40,764 individuals. The PHI involved included patient names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, financial information, and clinical information. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards and conducted staff training to better protect its PHI.
