OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Word & Brown Insurance Administrators, Inc., reported that it experienced a cyberattack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 3,223 individuals. The PHI involved included names, Social Security numbers, addresses, and dates of birth. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE provided complimentary credit monitoring services to the affected individuals and implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards, and retrained workforce members to better protect its PHI.
