OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Northeast Georgia Health System, reported that its business associate (BA) experienced a cybersecurity incident that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 24,849 individuals. The PHI involved included names and addresses. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative and technical safeguards.
