OCR description
The covered entity (CE), SunLink Health Systems, Inc., reported that its subsidiary experienced a data breach that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of 2,856 individuals. The PHI involved demographic and financial information. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE ended its business relationship with the subsidiary. OCR provided technical assistance to the CE.
