OCR description
The covered entity (CE), Union County Children and Youth Services, reported that it was the subject of a ransomware attack that affected the protected health information (PHI) of 4,157 individuals. The PHI involved included clinical, demographic, and financial information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, the media, and posted substitute notice on its website. In response to the breach, the CE implemented additional administrative, technical, and security safeguards to better protect its PHI.
