OCR description
University of Miami, the covered entity (CE) reported that a staff member impermissibly accessed the medical records of 2,928 individuals. The protected health information (PHI) involved clinical and demographic information. The CE notified HHS, the affected individuals, and the media. In response to the breach, the CE sanctioned the staff member.
