CVE-2026-74241Quay: ldap referral filter injection in quay external ldap authentication

Updated under an hour ago ()

Does this affect you?

It affects Red Hat OpenShift Update Service and 1 other product. Add what you run to find out whether that includes you.

No exploitation reported and no EPSS estimate yet.

A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay's external Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication handling. When an LDAP referral is returned during authentication, the system does not properly escape the username input. This allows an attacker to inject LDAP filter metacharacters, enabling user-existence oracle attacks at the referral Directory Name (DN). This could also potentially influence which DN is used for password binding in multi-domain Active Directory environments.

The CVE record is authoritative. Products marked “from the name” were identified from the CNA's free-text names, not a CPE, and are matched less certainly. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
