CVE-2026-11873Pki-core: dogtag-pki: empty request to dogtag /ca/rest/certrequests causes http 500, java exception, and stacktrace disclosure

Updated under an hour ago ()

Does this affect you?

It affects Red Hat Certificate System 9 and 1 other product. Add what you run to find out whether that includes you.

No exploitation reported and no EPSS estimate yet.

An Apache-proxied Dogtag CA REST endpoint exposed by IdM (POST /ca/rest/certrequests) returns HTTP 500 with internal Java stack traces for unauthenticated malformed requests. The same unauthenticated error path emits large multi-line stack traces into the CA debug log, creating a log-amplification resource exhaustion vector (disk growth and I/O contention) without requiring authentication.

The CVE record is authoritative. Products marked “from the name” were identified from the CNA's free-text names, not a CPE, and are matched less certainly. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
